A recluse farmer from the countryside, his head bent over as he scribbles furiously on open journals of his research, piles of old books stacked in a corner, face up close to jars of mystical and mysterious concoctions. If you ask the villagers about this strange man, they whisper quietly to you that he always has on a straw hat, his face seems to be covered in old rags. No one has ever seen his face up close. The villagers whisper among themselves of the odd coloured smoke they sometimes see in the distance from his battered chimney. Maybe he’s a potion master, they say…
In this sculpt, the master of fear is seen in action, his hand outstretched, from the man’s pale knobby fingers lies a swinging human skull. As if summoned, hypnotising green smoke unfurls from the skull’s eye sockets. The garments he wears are highly detailed and textured, drawing inspiration from various traditional Japanese garments. He is clad in a straw hat and old kimono, old rags and robes are wrapped around him, a mino inspired garment (Japanese rain poncho) is drawn close around his shoulders. He has a tank hefted on his back that is filled with his carefully concocted fear toxin. It unfurls from a sprayer decked on his right arm or through the skull sprayer he carries in his left hand. His face reveals a terrifying image, old rags with 2 holes cut to reveal his eyes, his mouth drawn into a roar, the mask is decorated with sharp jagged teeth, the stuff nightmares are made of.
At Scarecrow’s feet the toxin unfurls, swirling and moving, metamorphosing and from it emerges a creature with long ears, short snot… the creature seems to crawl forward, eyes unblinking, as the final transformation is almost complete, it is revealed to be a large bat. And we all know who has a fear of bats…

2 right hand switch-outs: 1 holding the human skull shaped sprayer, 1 with his fingers curled2 left hand switch-outs: 1 of which holds a sickle (Scarecrow’s preferred weapon in combat)

Solid, Detailed Design

I really like this garden angel statue -- from the SAMPU CRAFT store. I like the features and the overall design. The product features a solar lamp. It's super easy to use and requires no wires or electricity. The lamp is easily removed, so you can charge it up in a sunny spot and replace it if necessary. It doesn't take much sun to charge it up. While it's not an overly bright lamp, it will last for hours.
The design of the angel figurine is very detailed and expressive. The wings and hair are particularly well done. I love the gently curved posture of the angel as she rests her face on her hands. The figurine is on the smaller side -- only about a foot high -- but it stands out as a nice statue in my garden. This garden piece would definitely work on the lawn or on a porch. It's a nice yellowish-white that would blend in to most places. But, there are a few green vines painted along the side of the little lamp post which makes it perfect to sit in a garden. The lamp casing itself is black and will just disappear when the light is on.
I have several angel statues and I must say -- this one is very nice and stands out. It makes for a soothing, peaceful addition to my memory garden! Thank you.

Solar light quit, soon after I got it, battery maybe, but I love the angel and its design.

Love the detail of the angel, the facials features the details in the wings love the rose vine! Great garden decor the solar lights only worked the first day i even checked the battery position and the on off switch, I am assuming the battery died, but I can get another solar light i still love the design.

Good Quality

This is absolutely beautiful. The lighting is ambient and not bright, with a warm glow (not as bright as the photos), and the charge lasts about 3 hours, give or take. The plaster mold is done very well so that it looks high end. It is also high-quality because I dropped it and it didn't break. For this reason, the price is right. This would be a great gift, but also a wonderful ornament for the yard or even as a welcome at the front door.

Looks nice, and works well but the light doesn't fit well.

I have mixed feelings about this little angel light. I got it for my mom, and she really loves it, and it looks great on the edge of the garden by the walkway up to the house. It doesn't provide a lot of light, but what it does offer is just enough at night to help people navigate until they're close enough for our motion activated porch light to turn on.
The light however just doesn't come installed in the figure and doesn't fit very well into the hole it's supposed to sit in. I used some thick double sided tape as a gasket to hold it in place and solved the problem, but it's worth noting anyway.
As for overall quality, it's ok, but not great. The figure is made of resin (plastic), and is fairly thin and not very strong. It's also very light and can be knocked or blown over by wind very easily. The casting on the angel itself is ok, but the socket the light sets into was misshapen and I also had to clean it up to even get the light to fit into it. (There was some flashing at the bottom of the hole that prevented it from sitting all the way down)
Battery life seems to be pretty good, and lasts through the night as long as it gets enough sun during the day, but on cloudy days it tends to only last a few hours at most. And the light sensor does work well, it comes on right at dusk.
As for value I'm not sure I'd say it's a great deal for the current price, but if you can find it on sale might be worth getting. Of course on anything decorative value is subjective and depends largely on how much you like the look of it.
As always if I encounter any other issues or think of anything else to add I'll update this review!
