Each lovebirds knitting kit is carefully handmade and packed by me, and will contain all the yarn and notions that you need to knit two cute lovebirds – No need to order all the different yarns and bits and pieces – you can sit back, relax, and start knitting straight away. It's all there for you!

If you'd like to add needles to your kit, a pair of high quality 4mm Pony aluminium knitting needles are £2.50, and a pack of 2 Pony or Hemline darning needles are £1.50.

Are Lucy and Larry suitable for beginners?

Very much so. This is the easiest Knitted Birds kit as the lovebirds are simply knitted flat, making them a relaxing project for a beginner: no need to knit in the round. There’s no colour-changing mid-row, making this an ideal relaxing knit.

Basic knitting skills that you need to know:

Stocking stitch, increasing by knitting into the front and back of a stitch (inc 1) and decreasing by knitting 2 stitches together (k2tog). Head on over to my how to knit tutorials if you need any advice!
