Shapes on the garland are not knot tied, and can be slid around with gentle pressure to get the look you desire. They will stay where you want them on the cotton cord.

Garlands will follow the pattern of: 4 balls, 1 mushroom, 4 balls, 1 mushroom, 4 balls, etc. There are 3 spacings to choose from: 4 felt shapes per foot, 7 felt shapes per foot, and touching felt shapes (11ish shapes per foot). The touching does give room for the felt shape to not be crushed, so there may be a tiny bit of string showing, but it's very minimal.

Harder and heavier than a dog toy should be, but it is sturdy.

The outer rim is a very hard plastic, hard enough to dent and ding furniture. Too hard to throw in the house. Dog likes it but has difficulty getting his mouth around the sides as the item is very heavy for its size. Squeaker in the middle was a a nice surprise.
Would not buy again.
