These beautiful wooden sock blockers have been specially created by Hélène Magnússon to ensure your handknit socks fit perfectly, making all those stitches properly come to life and shine!.

The sock blockers are crafted from natural birch plywood and are handmade in Poland especially for Hélène. Strong and sustainable, their design is inspired by a type of bearberry that grows in Iceland (Sortulyng in Icelandic, Arctostaphylos uva-ursi). The red berries were used to make ink in the middle ages and to dye cloths black. It grows all over Iceland.

A useful blocking tool for handmade socks, they are also a beautiful object on their own and will make a perfect gift for any sock knitter (or crocheter!).

SIZES:
The length of the blocker should be at least 1cm - 3 cm / 0.5" - 1.25″ longer than the length of the foot on which the sock is made. If you are between sizes or have a very fine foot, choose the smallest option.

Large: blocker´s foot length is 29cm / 11.5″ to fit shoe size EU 41 - 43 / US Women 9.5 - 11.5 / US Men 7.5 - 9.5 / UK 7.5 - 9.5
