Announcing a black vinyl repress of 20 Jazz Funk Greats, the landmark 1979 album from industrial music pioneers Throbbing Gristle. The impetus for the record apparently came about from Genesis P-Orridge's mum's request that the band record something "nice". The tame cover photo shows the nattily dressed band - white disco jacket, comfy slacks, mini-skirt - stood amid flowers on a clifftop. The chosen scene of natural beauty was Beachy Head, a notorious suicide spot. 20 Jazz Funk Greats' cheerful breaching of lounge jazz and disco contains some of the band's prettiest moments on songs like the breathy "Hot on the Heels of Love". Similarly "Tanith" and "Exotica" are gentle interludes in which TG's usual jagged punctuations are kept to a minimum. You could be fooled into thinking this was indeed easy-listening industrial. Pitchfork wrote that "20 Jazz Funk Greats finds the band waking up from D.O.A's dark night of the soul and feeling curiously frisky. Snacking on not only the titular funk and jazz, the band also takes touristic zig zags through exotica, rock and disco", ultimately describing it as a "kitsch detour toward mutant disco". Uncut Magazine wrote that "musically, it turned away from the precipice; not exactly jazz and funk, but sublimating TG's noise elements within electronic rhythms and proto-exotica." Dusted Magazine described the album as "a deliberate attempt to toy with the ideas behind marketing strategy and the purpose of musical genres."

Warning, if you have two different thickness of monitors these may not work as intended.
The product seems very well made and the adhesive is very strong. These seem like they would work really well if you have two monitors of the same thickness, in my case I did not and they actually created more of a gap then without.

Surprisingly Amazing!

I bought this expecting it to be a cheaper product I would use until I bought something better. I was very surprised to see how nice it was! Very solid and non slip surface on the bottom. The wood on it looks great and one of the most awesome things about it is you can manually adjust it to fit your laptop. I have a heavy16 inch MacBook Pro with a case on it and it fits perfectly in this stand, after adjusting it, of course. I ended up buying another one for my work office too. I can’t wait to try other products from this company.

INCREASED DESK SPACE - ORGANIZED

I just received my new Vertical Laptop Stand by UPERGO! I had no idea that this device could free up so much space on my desk! AND, it looks great, very rich & professional with the solid wood, Walnut dividers. It has solid weight so your laptops won't just tumble or slide away either. The dividers that hold up to 2 laptops will also hold your cell phone. What an clever invention by UPERGO!
I am now able to keep both of my laptops in the same space which frees up substantial workspace for me. The feature that allows me to adjust the width for different sized laptops is GREAT.
I was at wits end how to add ventilation to my laptop as it became so hot. It now runs much, much cooler because the fan/air flow is vertical as opposed to flat on my desk. So many improvements in just one device. Thanks to UPERGO for this fine device which makes my desk look better & so much more functional!
I highly recommend to anyone that spends time with laptops at their desk!
