Jaeger-LeCoultre Dress Watch – Crosshair Dial Ultra-Thin 18K Yellow Gold (Ref. 2285, Circa 1950s)

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Ref. 2285 stands as a quintessential expression of 1950s refinement—elegant, restrained, and mechanically sophisticated. Crafted in solid 18K yellow gold and powered by the maison’s ultra-thin Calibre K800, this watch encapsulates the golden age of Le Sentier watchmaking, where form and function merged seamlessly into timeless design.

The Case – Classic 1950s Elegance in Gold

The 34 mm 18K yellow gold case embodies mid-century balance and poise. Its polished surfaces and slim, rounded profile exude sophistication without excess, designed to sit discreetly and comfortably on the wrist.

At just 8 mm thick, this case showcases Jaeger-LeCoultre’s expertise in creating ultra-thin mechanical watches long before the genre became fashionable. The case remains beautifully preserved, with well-defined edges and its original case serial (916893) clearly visible—attesting to its authenticity and careful preservation.

The watch is fitted with a Jaeger-LeCoultre signed crown and protected by a plexiglass crystal, adding a warm vintage charm that complements the gold’s natural luster.

The Dial – Crosshair Precision and Subtle Depth

The factory-original dial is a rare and beautiful crosshair variant, featuring a finely printed cross at center that gives the dial a sense of precision and symmetry. The engraved and sunken hour indices, an uncommon and luxurious detail, create depth and texture under varying light.

The dial has developed a gentle, even patina, enhancing its authenticity and vintage appeal without diminishing its legibility or elegance. This subtle aging speaks to the watch’s originality and careful life over seven decades.

The Movement – Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre K800

Inside beats the Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre K800, a manual-wound ultra-thin movement celebrated for its precision and technical refinement. Compact yet beautifully engineered, the K800 exemplifies Jaeger-LeCoultre’s role as “the watchmaker’s watchmaker,” producing movements that balanced mechanical innovation with graceful simplicity.

The movement winds smoothly and runs accurately, underscoring both its enduring quality and the brand’s mastery of fine horology.

The Strap – Handmade Belgian Leather Elegance

This exceptional dress watch is paired with a brand-new handmade leather strap crafted in Belgium, offering supple comfort while perfectly complementing the warmth of the yellow gold case. The combination of vintage sophistication and contemporary craftsmanship ensures the watch remains both wearable and distinguished.

Ok
Style: Modern
Works ok. You have to turn the dial to get the treats to come out. Too big and too much comes out quickly so not very challenging to my pup. Too small and the treats won’t come out at all.

Finally slowed my dog down
Style: Modern
This toy is 100% worth the price. My dog is a mini Aussie and this had him engaged for 20 minutes trying to get his food. It looks adorable with the added detail of the dogs. The size is a bit smaller since it is not able to fit his full cup of food in it. The quality is amazing and he didn't immediately break it. It's very easy to use and adjust the size of the holes to make it harder. Love the engagement it provided to my pup.

Kept dog entertained! 🐾
Style: Modern
Love this toy! Glad it kept my dog busy and he really has to work for the treats inside. It rolls well and is fairly light weight. My only complaints is that if you have a strong/heavy chewer be mindful that it will rip through the plastic eventually so your dog could ingest it. For reference I have a maltipoo. 😂

My Puppy Loves this Indestructible Dragon
Size: Large, Color: Pink, Size: Large, Color: Pink
My puppy (8 month old black lab mix) loves, loves, loves her dragon. She has had it for 2 months now. It is one of her favorites and gets daily rough play time. It's her go-to toy for fetch and tug games, as well as just general mouthy play. The squeaker gave out after about 4 weeks, but she would binge squeak for prolonged periods (kind of like chomping on gum) so it was almost a blessing when it went silent. She still chomps on it, but at least now I don't have to hear it. Other than the fact that it's a little grungy and bedraggled from so much loving, it is still in amazing shape. The seams and fur are all still intact. There are no visible holes, rips, or weak spots. I love Chew Guard Technology. This dragon replaced her goDog Iguana (from PetSmart) that developed a tear in the fur after about 4 months of heavy use. (It was superficial, just the outer fur layer and not the innards, but we disposed of it before she could eat more fur.) She can be pretty rough on her toys and I can never predict if any given toy will last minutes or months. The goDog stuffies definitely fall into the "months" category, even with rough daily use. Edit: The dragon lasted about 6 months of intensive, hard play before it developed a small tear in the fur. I patched it a couple times, but once my pup discovers a weak spot, it's the kiss of death for any stuffed item. We had to dispose of the dragon (so sad) to keep her from eating any more of the fur. We replaced the dragon with the goDog Chameleon, which is still going strong. I think we will go back to the dragon for our next toy because it's just so darned cute. We gave the dragon to my niece for her golden retriever puppy who is very chew-happy. That dragon is also doing well. You've just gotta love that chew-guard technology. This is one tough toy.
