The Magnetic Stirrer/Hot Plate Thermostat offers precise temperature control up to 320°C using a 'Thermostat' feature that cycles the heating element. This is especially advantageous for tasks like melting solids at specific temperatures, but not ideal for maximum heating or boiling water. The front panel includes a mains switch, thermostat heat control (ranging from 50 to 320°C), and a stirring speed control.
A. Control: Plain, rectangular, high temperature alloy top plate
B. With PTFE: Rectangular, high temperature alloy top plate PTFE (Teflon) coating for corrosion resistance and easy cleaning.
NOTE: For general boiling of water etc. to overcome heat losses, it is necessary for the plate to achieve maximum temperature of about 450deg c.
