For the dance film essay The Body as Archive Gregor Schwellenbach chose a simple yet radical approach: he created a kind of catalog of sounds, clearly structured, presented with sobriety and boldness. The sounds are not embedded in the familiar frame of rhythm-harmony-melody; rather, they are introduced smoothly, presented one after the other, sometimes going together, then standing alone. It is a sensual approach, at the same time executed strictly systematically. Or vice versa: Schwellenbach's composition is strictly systematical, giving maximum space for sensuality and the unfolding of sounds. Schwellenbach strives to create a system that doesn't become rigid, by treating the material gently and with sincerity. In composing The Body as Archive he sets clear rules: everything is played by hand, he only uses instruments he plays himself: keyboards (Rhodes, piano, synthesizer) and double bass. Almost all material is played in the same key, the chords can be used in any combination, everything fits to everything. The ten parts of The Body as Archive, mastered by Taylor Deupree, could be played all at the same time without sounding cacophonous. Everything is pure presence, a gently woven stream of elegance and attentiveness. The organization of sounds - usually an action of preparation, didactic and discipline - turns into poetry.

The real side of prison
Format: Hardcover
An excellent expose of what prison life is like how corrupt it really is and how useless it can be in man.y instances. A good read and so well written the reader can easily slide from chapter to chapter with greatest easy. Highly recommended and with many tips on how to survive in prison if one is ever unblessed enough to called to serve in one. This should be a model prison reforms. Bonnie’s sections are a lovely testament for true love.

Navarro Has Written a J'Accuse for Our Time, a Bare-Knuckled Indictment of an Evil System

Peter Navarro has written an exceptional book that should be required reading for those who seek to understand the abuses of the Biden presidency. The book is a poignant love story, an account of great sacrifice, and an illustration of the true totalitarian nature of the Left. It is a J'Accuse for our time. Like Zola's work, it is a bare-knuckled indictment of an evil system. Unlike Zola, this system conspired not against one man, but against the President and many others--in fact, well more than half the country. Navarro's account is a contemporary reminder of the abuses Arendt and Solzhenitsyn identified regarding not only the banality, capriciousness, and brutal incompetence of tyranny, but that one does not realize when it starts how horrific it will become. If the Left is not stopped, what they did to Navarro will segue to even greater abuses against more and more people. I Went to Prison So You Won't Have To is a warning to all Americans of what is at stake and hence is a book that Americans must read.

Find Out Who Was the Legal Secretary
Format: Hardcover
I ordered this book after watching Nuremberg with Michael Shannon and Russell Crowe because I wanted to find out who was the woman accompanying Justice Jackson to Germany. Yes, that was not his wife, it was his legal secretary, Elsie Douglas. This book is the only source I could find that goes into any detail about their relationship. What it provides is nowhere near salacious, because it is evident that Jackson took his secrets to the grave. What details it does provide about the evident love triangle that existed in Jackson's life for many years is quite sufficient to explain the events of Nuremberg.

Well written. Factual sloppiness.

Good insight into Jackson’s approach to the law. Thoroughly researched. Well written. However, Professor White made two egregious factual errors, both of which are an indication of sloppiness on his part, as well as that of his editors and peer reviewers. First, he refers to the World War 2 Chief of Naval Operations as the Secretary of the Navy. Second he states that Los Alamos National Laboratory is in California.
