The Sennheiser GZL RG 58 - 1M (Article Number: 700160) is a professional-grade, 50-Ohm radio frequency (RF) coaxial antenna cable assembly. Measuring exactly 1 meter (3.3 feet) in length, this short patch cable is designed to build dense, interconnected RF pathways inside your equipment racks. It is the primary jumping connection used to link wireless microphone receivers, antenna splitters (like the Sennheiser ASA 214), active antenna combiners, and internal rack patch-bays together.

Key RF Signal Architecture

True 50-Ohm Impedance Match: Professional wireless audio networks rely entirely on a uniform 50-Ohm impedance architecture. This short 1-meter cable guarantees a solid 50-Ohm profile from end to end, eliminating localized standing wave reflections and phase mismatches that corrupt signal paths and trigger dropouts.

Optimized Back-Rack Patching: Because it spans just 1 meter, this cable minimizes back-of-the-rack cable clutter. Keeping antenna lines short prevents long coils of excess wiring from dangling near electrical power strips, heavily reducing the risk of electromagnetic interference degrading your signal.

Ultra-Low Resistance BNC Connections: Both ends of the cable terminate in heavy-duty, male-to-male BNC connectors. These utilize a standardized twist-and-lock coupling mechanism to safeguard your equipment hooks against mechanical vibration, accidental tugs, or moving rack frames.

RF Signal Loss and Attenuation Metrics

Coaxial lines experience a microscopic amount of signal attenuation over distance. Because this patching segment is kept down to a tight 1 meter, line loss is virtually negligible. At a standard 20 degrees Celsius environment, the attenuation curves for this specific 1-meter run parse as follows:

Operating Frequency Channel Expected Signal Loss over 1 Meter
400 MHz (Lower UHF Segment) Approx. 0.35 dB loss
800 MHz (Upper UHF Segment) Approx. 0.56 dB loss
1000 MHz (Maximum Rating Threshold) Approx. 0.63 dB loss

System Implementation Guidelines

Keep Connections Clean: Because BNC connections operate at very high frequencies, microscopic bits of dust, oil from skin contact, or corrosion inside the barrel can mimic a major signal drop. Keep the internal pin contacts clean. If a rack link has been sitting unused or exposed to outdoor festival dust, blow it clear with compressed air before locking it down.

Protect the Bend Radius: Never pinch, kink, or force this cable into a tight, sharp 90-degree bend to clear a shallow rack lid. Bending the wire too sharply forces the center copper strand out of position relative to the outer foil shield. This localized physical change instantly skews the uniform 50-Ohm impedance shape, creating an RF bottleneck that bounces signal backward and reduces overall reception quality. Use smooth, looping layouts behind your gear.

The Epson F170 has been ideal for getting started with sublimation. It's easy to use, prints vibrant and defined colors, and has allowed me to personalize various projects with excellent results. As a beginner, it has given me a lot of confidence to learn and create without complications. I definitely recommend it for anyone starting out in sublimation.

No returns and no support. If it doesn't work properly, too bad.
Style: Printer & Inks, Style: Printer & Inks
I was fairly happy with my Epson ET 2800, but was told that I'd get better colors with the F170. So I bit the bullet. The installation went smoothly and I was printing in short order. It was when I started printing items that had some dark gray that I noticed the problem. It was printing green. I contacted Epson tech support and they answered the phone almost immediately. (And how rare is that??) The woman I spoke with seemed to be familiar with the problem and advised me to modify the printer preferences and change the color correction from "ICM" to "No color correction". Well, it wasn't printing green anymore. Now the grays were brown. At this point, she ran out of ideas and gave me an email address for the second level of tech support and asked if I'd send a photo of the printed fabrics showing the problem. I did. That was over three weeks ago. I've sent a couple of followup emails, but they're ignoring me. But the best news was discovering that there are no returns on this product. I didn't think that was a thing with Amazon and I've never had any problems before. So now the 30-day return window is about to elapse and it appears that I'm stuck with an oversized doorstop. In the photo I'm including with this review, the fabric on the upper-left was printed with my Epson ET 2800. On the upper right, the F170 with ICM color correction. On the bottom, the F170 with no color correction.
