Mass: The Quest to Understand Matter from Greek Atoms to Quantum FieldsEverything around us is made of 'stuff', from planets, to books, to our own bodies. Everything around us is made of 'stuff', from planets, to books, to our own bodies. Whatever it is, we call it matter or material substance. It is solid; it has mass. But what is matter, exactly? We are taught in school that matter is not continuous, but discrete. As a few of the philosophers of ancient Greece once speculated, nearly two and a half thousand years ago, matter comes in 'lumps', and science has relentlessly peeled away successive layers of matter to reveal its ultimate constituents. Surely, we can't keep doing this indefinitely. We imagine that we should eventually run up against some kind of ultimately fundamental, indivisible type of stuff, the building blocks from which everything in the Universe is made. The English physicist Paul Dirac called this 'the dream of philosophers'. But science has discovered that the foundations of our Universe are not as solid or as certain and dependable as we might have once imagined. They are instead built from ghosts and phantoms, of a peculiar quantum kind. And, at some point on this exciting journey of scientific discovery, we lost our grip on the reassuringly familiar concept of mass. How did this happen? How did the answers to our questions become so complicated and so difficult to comprehend? In Mass Jim Baggott explains how we come to find ourselves here, confronted by a very different understanding of the nature of matter, the origin of mass, and its implications for our understanding of the material world. Ranging from the Greek philosophers Leucippus and Democritus, and their theories of atoms and void, to the development of quantum field theory and the discovery of a Higgs boson-like particle, he explores our changing understanding of the nature of matter, and the fundamental related concept of mass.Binding Type: Hardcover

Ehh
Size: Medium, Color: Multicoloured E-(5-pack)
Very thin, still comfy but very thin material. Super soft though. I've worn and washed and they have held up but I won't be repurchasing bc these are so thin

They’re fantastic!!!!
Size: X-Large, Color: Multicoloured E-(5-pack)
My clothing size is 16/18 and XL. Even though Amazon suggested a size XXL, I ordered my normal XL and they fit perfectly.
The fabric for this style is 92% bamboo viscose and is amazingly soft and almost silky feeling. I had ordered a different boy short in this brand but they were 80% bamboo viscose and the fabric was significantly heavier. I returned those and ordered these.

this is my go to when needing new underwear.
Size: 3X-Large, Color: Black/Navy/Dark Purple/Red
Love these boyshorts for women. They're so comfortable, no crawling and breathable. I recommend for plus size women who has legs rubbing together causing irritation. Nice price as well. This is my go to when needing new underwear.

Great!
Size: Small, Color: Black/Heather Gray/White/Nude
Comfy, good fit, good quality cotton and flat seams around the crotch. Normal size small. I wouldn’t wear these with yoga pants, but nice under looser fitting garments. I would buy more colors.

There is a seam up the front. I think perhaps it being seamless would be better.
Size: Medium, Color: Black
Like anything off Amazon I wasnt expecting anything perfect and ready to have to mail it back.
Pleasantly surprised by the softness and durability. The waist band isn't to small on a medium so it fits actually so comfy.
I wear them as underwear and as shorts for my skirts n dresses.
Id recommend but I say size up if you want a comfy fit. But down if you want a fitted fit fit. Comfy still is fitted but better feeling on if that makes sense.
Also the crotch of the shorts/undies has essentially extra fabric sewed in creating that nice comfort. Ill snag a photo when I have time.
