Incredibly smooth and flavorful, this Sangiovese from the Colli Senesi Chianti's prominent sub zone surrounding Siena is 90% Sangiovese, 5% Colorino and 5% Merlot. After harvest and fermentation in late September, the wine remains in stainless steel vats until spring and is then transferred to large oak barrels (800 gallons) where it ages for 12 months.
