Omegon EQ-3 motor drive - the motor drive for your Omegon EQ-3 telescope
It is clear starry night. An object is in the field of view - perhaps the planet Jupiter - you note how the planet slowly moves in the field of view. You continually have to use the manual slow motion controls of your telescope to get the object back into the centre of the field of view.
But there is a better way!
Use the simple method of employing a tracking motor with your Omegon EQ3 mount. This will save you having to constantly adjust the telescope by hand. Once attached, you will then be able to concentrate much better on your observing.
The motor relieves you of this irksome burden and will track your telescope in synchronisation with the movement of the stars from now on.
The object you are observing will remain permanently in the field of view when the motor is operating!
Even more features
You also receive a controller for your telescope with the Omegon EQ-3 motor drive. Four large keys provide 8x and 2x tracking speeds and for temporarily stopping tracking. This means you can also follow objects at higher speeds and keep them positioned in the field of view.
There is also an ON/OFF switch and a switch for selecting which hemisphere you are on. This means that the Omegon RA tracking motor can be used anywhere in the whole world. The controller is ergonomically designed so that it is easy and safe to use even when wearing gloves.
