The interRAI Clinical and Management Applications Manual for Use with the Acute Care (AC) and Acute Care for Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment (AC-CGA) systems provides a wide array of Applications, including Problems, Scales, Screeners, Clinical Action Points, and Quality Indicators, together with advice on how to interpret them to create Patient Profiles.
This Applications Manual is primarily a companion to the interRAI Acute Care (AC) Assessment Form and User's Manual, Version 9.1. However, the majority of applications are also components of the new interRAI AC system for all adults and the updated interRAI AC-CGA (version 9.3). Together, these manuals describe how to score and interpret a complete assessment system for older people in the acute hospital environment. This system supports either "whole of episode" assessment for acute geriatric and medical services (pre-morbid, admission, review and discharge), or geriatric consultation (pre-morbid and current) formats for assessment and care planning. The system is designed for use by medical practitioners, nurses, or multi-disciplinary teams.
