This sale is for a Fender Japan, "Stratocaster Boxer Series", crafted in the renowned Fujigen factory. It was built between 1985 and 1986.  It features a Torino Red body (either Basswood or Alder), maple neck, rosewood fretboard, Fender Blade Shooter bridge and 1 x Dragster pick up.

This one has been hard to pick the exact model, as we are 90% sure it has been modified/customised over the years. We think it is a ST-556, as it has the space for three pickups under the modified and not original pick guard, and has been turned into a custom ST-451.


Condition:

  • This is a used guitar. 

  • Physically this unit is in good condition for a guitar from 1985. It shows some general wear from use and age. The wear some nicks, scratches and scuffs. Nothing major at all. The pick-guard is not original, it has lots of light scratches. 

  • This guitar has been tested. It is fully functional, the intonation has been checked. The frets are lightly worn, they are a nice medium height. There is no pitting.  The action is medium-low. 

  • This Fender has had a minor service and thorough test. This included:

    • Cleaning the neck, buffed and polished frets.

    • Pickup height adjusted.

    • String height adjusted.

    • Graphite has been added to nut. 

    • Switches and pots were cleaned. 

    • Brand new D'addario nickel wound regular light gauge, 10-46 strings have been installed. 

  • For safety during shipping, tension will be taken off the neck. The guitar will need to be tuned on arrival. 

  • Please note that although we have tested the intonation and set up the guitar here, due to the nature of guitars as well as the shipping and handling process there is a chance you will need to set up the guitar again. The set up may need to be modified to suit your personal preferences. 

  • Guitars picked up from our West Gosford store will set up ready to play!
