Mega-Chel® provides a buffet of essential nutrients and herbal nutrition for the circulatory system. With ingredients like ginkgo harvested from potent young trees grown in their native land (China) by a partner with whom we’ve done business for more than 10 years. RECOMMENDED USE

Begin by taking 1 tablet twice daily for a week.
Then take 1 tablet three times daily for the second week.
Gradually increase to 4 tablets with a meal once daily. Maintain this level for three to four months. Then gradually taper off in a similar manner.

WARNING: If pregnant, or planning pregnancy, daily vitamin A intake should not exceed 3000 mcg (10,000 IU). Quantities in excess of 3000 mcg/day may result in reproductive hazards, or birth defects.
Before starting a vitamin A regimen please consult your physician. This bottle contains enough iron to harm a child. Close lid tightly and keep out of the reach of children. In case of accidental overdose, call a doctor or poison control center immediately.

INGREDIENTS

Provides array of nutrients, including vitamin A, C, D, E, thiamin (B1), riboflavin (B2), niacin, B6, folic acid, B12, pantothenic acid, magnesium, zinc, selenium, manganese and chromium. Mega-Chel® also contains beneficial levels of biotin, calcium, iron, phosphorus, iodine, copper, potassium, cysteine, p-aminobenzoic acid, l-methionine, citrus bioflavonoids, rutin, adrenal substance, spleen substance, thymus substance, inositol, cod liver oil, ginkgo leaves, hawthorn berries and coenzyme Q10.

This product works exactly as described. It makes BM's smoother and gentler. I personally use the unflavored, no sweeteners added version, and honestly, it does not taste very good, but I feel that the results are worth it, and I do not like adding extra sweeteners or flavorings to my diet. I have used this product for many years and have found that about 1 1/2 to 2 tbsps in 12 ounces of water works the best for me. You will need to experiment a bit to find the ratio that works best for you. I recommend that you start on the low side and gradually increase the amount of Metamucil as needed.

Healthy, Effective, and great when mixed with Splenda and Koolaid mix. The best of many options I've tried.
Flavor Name: Unflavored, Size: 1.46 Pound (Pack of 1)
I've sampled a few different varieties of fiber supplements, including both Benefiber and off-brands, and I found that Metamucil provided the most fiber in the least offensive beverage. Compared to the other brands, this stuff is smoother textured, and goes down easier, as a sort of happy medium between the grittier supplements and the thicker ones. What about effectiveness? I have apocalyptic IBS, and since starting to take this stuff regularly (one giant glass every morning and evening), my BMs have been much more regular, and more manageable. Flare-ups happen less, and it even seems to do a decent job when taken with meals of cutting the hit to my stomach and gut. I tend to take more than the recommended amount, with an even larger serving of water, as I feel like it helps me stay hydrated and full throughout the day. I started taking the classic orange Metamucil, but although I really liked the superior flavor (rather like Orange Tang) it packed several times more sugar in each serving than fiber, so while it was great for digestive health, the overall health impact was too negative. I also sampled the sugar-free berry flavors, but found that, although it was ostensibly healthier, the flavor wasn't great, and in addition it suffered from the aspartame aftertaste and further effects (Aspartame gives me headaches). So this was a dilemma for me. What to do? I actually wrote to Metamucil about it, and they recommended this product. The downside is that it comes with absolutely no flavor, so you need to provide your own in order to mask the texture (I wouldn't dream of trying to mix this in plain water--yuck!) The upside is they pack 100+ servings into a container, and you really are free to blend it into whatever suits your fancy. Obviously if you mix it with something like orange juice, then you're already negating the benefits of this stuff over the sugary orange flavor, but I've personally found a much better way. I like to mix this stuff with Kool-aid mix and Splenda (Sucralose) sweetener. I buy a ton of Splenda and kool-aid as it mixes up tasting sweet, like sugar, but without the calories or aftertaste. You can dump a spoonful of this stuff into a glass of splenda-koolaid, or just dump 8 servings worth of this stuff in with a packet of koolaid powder and a cup of splenda, and then just mix it up and spoon it into water as needed. Better tasting, sugar-free and packed with good useful fiber. EDIT: I wish I could subscribe to this stuff. Price of splenda has gone up, but I've figured out thatyou can just dump 7 packets of koolaid mix and 7 dashes of sucralose into a container of this and shake it up.
