Heden ten dage houden we van eigentijdse keukens met kookeilanden, inbouwapparatuur en Amerikaanse koelkasten. Veelal zijn deze keukens praktisch en strak. Er zijn ook veel voorgeassembleerde onderdelen, zoals: de pannenset, de retro-kan van blauw 'email', het croissantje en de koffiekopjes. Het in elkaar zetten is ook een belangrijk onderdeel van dit bouwpakket van hout. Zo maak je zelf de kaars en de ledlamp. De kaars steek je beter niet aan, maar de verlichting wel.
