De duivel zint op wraak en heeft in 2000 jaar een reusachtig leger gebouwd van demonen. Wie was Sparda precies en kan Dante ontdekken welk verband hij heeft met Sparda? Samen met Dante ga je opzoek naar de antwoorden en beland je in een gevecht tussen goed en kwaad.In het tweede deel raak je verzeilt in een tijdperk vol duisternis, waarin de onderwereld zijn kwaadaardige leger zonder slag of stoot zijn leger over aardbodem liet marcheren, is eindelijk voorbij. Sparda, de jonge krijger, wist met zijn magische zwaard het kwaad te verdrijven. Maar het kwaad is terug! Nu is het aan de zoon van Sparda het hef in eigen hand te nemen en af te rekenen met het gespuis dat de wereld terroriseert. Stap in de voetsporen van je vader en ga de strijdt tegen de Dark Lords voort.Terwijl Dante alles in het werk stelde om de kwade machten te verslaan, kon zijn tweelingbroer Virgil de roep van de duistere krachten niet weerstaan.
