De druiven voor deze wijn komen uit de wijnregio Vinho Verde. De Atlantische oceaan heeft een grote invloed op het klimaat in dit gebied. Letterlijk betekend Vinho Verde groene wijn. Het zou kunnen refereren naar de jonge leeftijd waarop de wijn gedronken moet worden of de kleur van de wijn. Het is Portugals grootste wijnregio. Het staat hier dan ook helemaal vol met druivenstokken. Twintig procent van de totale Portugese productie komt hier vandaan. Het natte klimaat zorgt ervoor dat de wijnstok zeer krachtig groeit. Het suikergehalte van de druiven is daardoor relatief laag en het gehalte aan natuurlijke zuren hoog. De wijnen zijn daarom ook uitgesproken anders dan andere Portugese wijnen. Net als de Contacto is de Muros de Melgaço en echte terroir wijn. Hij wordt gemaakt van Alvarinho druiven die allemaal afkomstig zijn uit het dorp Melgaço. De wijngaarden liggen op zuidelijke delen van de hellingen. Anselmo Mendes selecteert heel zorgvuldig welke percelen voor deze wijn mogen worden gebruikt. De complexiteit van deze wijn is het resultaat van een 25-jarige zoektocht naar perfectie. Deze wijn is in Portugal een referentie voor zijn elegantie, klasse en consistentie. Door de zuidelijke ligging heeft de wijn een heel krachtig rijp karakter, in combinatie met een bijzondere zuurgraad. De druiven worden ontsteeld en geperst, waarna een gisting en rijping volgt op vaten van Frans eiken gedurende zes maanden. Stops Me From Picking and Actually Works
As a woman in my 40s, I never would have guessed I’d still need pimple patches, yet the occasional zit still pops up — and these things are like magic.
They work really well, blend into my fair/light skin nicely, and are barely noticeable at a quick glance. I’m also a terrible picker, and picking is so bad for your skin, so I love that these keep me from messing with pimples while doing all the work for me overnight. I’m always grossly fascinated by how much gunk they pull out by morning.

Camouflages well with the skin and sticks long enough
I was excited to try these Halo Dot patches because I was having some breakouts before a wedding I had to attend. I put these on three nights before the wedding only at nights and left them on until the morning. I washed my face the 1st night, yet the second night I did not and it still attached (mind that I have a very oily face by the end of the day).
With every application I saw good results as the breakouts were being reduced with each use. It is easy to put on and to carry out if you need to travel because it comes in two separate little envelope like package that you can put in a backpack/purse. These are thin and are almost not visible.

Easy to Use and Surprisingly Effective
Even though I am well past the age when I thought breakouts would stop happening, I still get the occasional pimple. As luck would have it, I felt one starting to pop up on my cheek the day after these Halo Dot Pimple Patches arrived.
Before bed, after washing and thoroughly drying my face, I applied one of the patches. It peeled easily from the backing sheet, and when I realized I had not placed it quite right, I was pleasantly surprised that I could lift and reposition it without any trouble.
What really impressed me was how well it blended into my skin. I was only wearing it overnight, but honestly, I do not think anyone would have noticed it unless they were looking very closely. In fact, I forgot I even had it on until I looked in the mirror the next morning.
The patch peeled off easily and had clearly pulled some of the buildup from the blemish overnight. There was no redness or irritation afterward, and the spot looked dramatically improved by morning.
The only downside for me is the price, especially since the package contains just 33 patches. That said, if they continue to work this well, I would definitely consider purchasing them again.

Love these already! Came in handy just when I need it!
These acne patches came in really handy when I had a random breakout near my lip, especially since that’s an area where I tend to wear a lot of makeup. They helped gently draw out impurities without being harsh on my skin.
I also like that they blend in well on the skin. They’re not tinted, but they still work nicely across different skin tones like advertised, which makes them less noticeable while wearing them.
You get a good amount in the package as well—33 patches total, with 18 patches on each sheet. Overall, they’re convenient to have on hand for unexpected breakouts, and I would definitely recommend them.
