De Hydrangea paniculata 'Phantom' is een indrukwekkende pluimhortensia die bekendstaat om zijn grote, witte bloemen die later in het seizoen naar roze verkleuren. De 'Phantom' gedijt het best op een zonnige tot halfschaduwrijke locatie. Hij verlangt een voedzame, goed doorlatende bodem die licht zuur tot neutraal is. De 'Phantom' bloeit van juli tot oktober en produceert dan grote, kegelvormige bloempluimen die beginnen in een crèmewitte kleur en later verkleuren naar lichtroze. Deze bloemen kunnen indrukwekkend lang worden, tot wel 30 cm. De plant zelf kan een hoogte bereiken van 200cm. Het is aan te raden om de plant in het vroege voorjaar (februari of maart) terug te snoeien tot ongeveer 20–30 cm boven de grond om een gezonde groei en grote bloemen te stimuleren.

If you sleep hot, night-sweat, or just want a pillow that actually stays cool — these are it. 10/10 recommend.
