Deze cultivar is ideaal voor borders, natuurlijke beplantingen en prairietuinen, waar hij hoogte, beweging en een intens kleuraccent toevoegt. Persicaria amplexicaulis ‘Speciosa’ groeit goed op een zonnige tot halfbeschaduwde standplaats en prefereert een voedzame, licht vochtige grond. De plant is onderhoudsarm, goed winterhard en zeer aantrekkelijk voor bijen en andere bestuivers.
