Waar te beginnen als een jarenlange relatie verbroken wordt? Dat vroeg Esmée Noëlle van Rijn (@esmeenoelle op Instagram) zich af toen de vader van haar zoontje niet lang na zijn eerste verjaardag hun relatie verbrak. In Met heel mijn hart neemt Esmée je aan de hand van haar eigen verhaal mee door de rouw, verwerking en het opbouwen van een nieuw leven.

Esmée vertelt in alle openheid over het hele proces: van wat er niet goed ging in haar relatie tot de breuk zelf, over het verdriet, verschillende therapieën (van haptotherapie tot ayahuasca en van een familieopstelling tot een cacaoceremonie) en de machteloosheid die zij voelde. Maar ook over het co-ouderschap, het voorzichtig daten, het op haar bek gaan en weer doorgaan. Esmée greep de rouw aan om open te breken, zichzelf te ontwikkelen en weer gelukkig te worden. Want dat blijkt prima alleen te kunnen.
