The grain is cross-cut by darker-colored ambrosia stripes. Note: These spindles are discounted as each has a bit of wane or bark edge. The bark is solid and tight to the wood. If you wish to turn the bark, secure it with CA glue prior to turning. We've cut multiple of this size spindle, so the piece you receive may not be one in the photos but will be its equivalent in quality. Pricing is per spindle, so if you want more than one, use the pull-down to indicate how many you're ordering. These spindles have been air-dried to 20-25% moisture content in February 2023. If you'd like a current moisture check, just drop us a line. |

My Grandchildren LOVED this!

I read this out loud to my two grandchildren ages 4 and 6 at bedtime. They're so excited to be reading a chapter book and they LOVED it! The book's quirky sense of humor is great and it was fun to hear the kids giggle. We loved how the sloth appears in each story. They couldn't wait for the next night to read. Mr Angleberger- please write more!!!

Got my 8 year old to read!
Format: Hardcover
My eight year old hated reading and refused to pick up any book, until this arrived in the mail. He as usual refused at first to read it but I made him read a couple of pages, which he did and put it down but the next day he asked to read it and read the entire book in 30 mins. He said he loved it and it was really funny. Already have the 2nd book on its way.

This book is adorable, fantastic

This book is adorable, fantastic! I bought it for a 6 year old boy - he loved it - and his 10 year old brother loved it just as much. The three of us read it together and laughed out loud! It is written for a K - 1 - 2 grade level. Just wonderful! Kudos to the writer and illustrator!
