Since its inception in 1976, the Stingray Special bass has been renowned for its integration of active electronics and groundbreaking design. This 5-string Stingray Special showcases a body crafted from premium select hardwoods, featuring two deep cutaways and a contoured shape for superior comfort during extended play.
Constructed with a robust four-bolt connection, the neck of this Stingray Special 5 is made from select roasted maple, meticulously heat-treated for enhanced stability and tonal clarity. The neck boasts a rosewood fingerboard with an 11" radius, adorned with 22 high wide stainless-steel frets and iconic White Dot inlays for effortless navigation.
At the heart of the Stingray Special 5 Bass lies its formidable pickup system, anchored by the Music Man Neodymium Humbucker at the bridge position, and complemented by a sophisticated 3-band active preamp, offering versatile tone shaping capabilities. The bass is equipped with custom lightweight Music Man tuning machines and a vintage Music Man top-loaded steel bridge with nickel-plated steel saddles. Finished in Pacific Blue Burst with a matching headstock, this bass comes complete with a hard case for secure protection and convenient transportation.
