Measuring 9 ft 7 in x 6 ft 6 in (292.1 cms x 198.1 cms) this rug is tightly woven with wool pile on a cotton base. The use of cotton, once considered to be more valuable and prestigious than wool, allows for the weaving of these intricate floral design motifs which are typical of and unique to traditional Kayseri rug construction technique.
